      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Make the batter
  1. Set the raisins aside in a small bowl and cover with about 1 cup of boiling water, leave to soak.

Add the sugar to the TM bowl and mill 3 sec, speed 8.

Add the milk, eggs, flour, baking powder and vanilla bean paste.  Mix 15 seconds, speed 7.

Add the softened butter and mix 15 seconds, speed 7.

Drain the raisins (if using) and discard the water.  Add the raisons to the TM bowl and mix 5 sec, speed 4.

Transfer to a bowl, cover and leave to rest for about 2 hours on the bench.

  2. Baking
  3. Preheat fan forced oven to 200 degrees celcius.

Grease a madeleine form or other small cake forms with butter.

Spoon 1 tablespoon of mixture into each well.

Tip

I make these often, they keep well at room temperature in a sealed container for 3-4 days and also freeze very well.
