My Sister's Apple Slice

  • 200 grams P Flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 195 grams raw sugar
  • 3 apples
  • 1 egg

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Pre-heat oven to 180c & paper line a 27x17 cm slice tin.
    Melt butter 50 % / 3 mts / sp 2, then set aside in a seperate bowl to cool slightly.
    Quarter apples & remove core. I kept the skin on, but you can remove it if your prefer.
    Place apple in bowl & chop 4 secs / sp 4. Scrape down bowl.
    Add sugar, flour & baking powder to bowl. Mix 10 secs / sp 2 / reverse - to coat the apples.
    Add butter & egg to apple mixture & mix 15 secs / sp 4 / reverse, or till combined.
    Spoon into prepared tin, smooth top & bake 25-30 mts, till golden.
    Slice when cool.

Tip

This is great served warm with either cream, ice-cream or custard. Also a lovely morning/afternoon tea with a cuppa. Freezes well. Thanks Tricia for this lovely slice.
