These are lovely. I read the comments and made some additions from the great suggestions. Also, the freezer tip for rolling was a life saver. I added blitzed sultanas that I soaked in 4 tbs of spiced rum (so doubled the rum for the recipe) and blitzed dark chocolate. I rolled half in chocolate sprinkles and the other half in the coconut.

I made a few changes, turned them into fudgey balls of deliciousness. Doubled the rum, reduced the condensed milk a bit and added an extra TB of cocoa (I like them rich and chocolatey!) Had to remind myself not to lick the blades Tongue

I made these using Marie biscuits and cacao powder. As they were for kids, I substituted 1 Tbl of peppermint essence for the rum. The kids loved them!!

I googled rum balls wanting to find the simple arrowroot biscuit recipe my mother in law made in the 1970’s and this was the first search and exactly the one I was searching for.
It was so easy, but we doubled the Rum (4 tablespoons) 😁👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

I made these dairy free and gluten free. Taste yum!
I used coconut condensed milk and dairy/ gluten free biscuits. Mixture was very running and sticky, so I made it into a slice.

Fantastic. I did as someone suggested & froze teaspoonfuls for 5+ minutes then rolled into balls & coated with coconut. I used only 40g coconut in the actual mixture & they were great. Could eat them all!!

    Submitted by Petra01 on 24. December 2016 - 13:19.

Hi, Thanks for an easy recipe which has turned out to be a crowd pleaser! I didn't put the rum in, which I guess makes them 'balls' instead of 'rum balls', but they were still really yummy. Big Smile I did have to put in extra biscuits to keep their round shape, because they went flat once I rolled them.

Really loved this dish. Was super easy and I enjoyed the flavour. I used fresh mango but didn't have enough for the extra at the end. Next time I'll make sure I do as it will only make it even tastier.

This was a HUGE hit with my workmates.  Next time I would probably add a little extra rum because I like them strong.

I also made a variation and exchanged the rum for peppermint essence and it was a perfect amount for some peppermint balls - yummo.

I am pleased that you enjoyed them! I would add more rum too if I wasn't pregnant (hehe). I also have a cherry ripe balls recipe uploaded as well! tmrc_emoticons.)
