Sarah's Apple Crumble Conversion

Crumble Topping

  • 200 grams plain flour
  • 50 grams Butter, Cubed
  • 1 level teaspoons cinnamon, ground
  • 30 grams sugar, Coconut or Raw sugar is nice.
  • 40 g rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoons Flax Seed/ LSA, Optional

Apple Filling

  • 800 g apple, Peeled, cored, Sliced
  • 150 g water
  • 3 level tbsp sugar, Or honey

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Crumble Topping
  1. 1. Add all ingredients except Rolled Oats into TM bowl. speed 4, 20sec. or until it resembles bread crumbs.

    2. Add Oats and mix on speed 4 til loosely combined (approx 8 seconds).

    Set aside in separate bowl.
  2. Apple Filling
  3. Preheat oven to 190°C. Grease a 2 Litre ovenproof dish.

    All apple filling ingredients into TM bowl (no need to rinse bowl first).

    2. Set TMX to 8min, 110°C, speed .
  4. Assembly
  5. 1. When apples are soft, pour into prepared dish.

    2. Top with Crumble mix evenly.

    3. Bake in preheated oven for 30min or until topping is golden.
