  • 225 grams pitted date
  • 70 grams Cashews
  • 65 grams almonds
  • 33 grams sunflower seeds
  • 24 grams dessicated coconut
  • 30 grams pumpkin seeds
  • 1 orange, (zested)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, 70% cocoa
  • 1 pinch salt
  • LSA, (Linseed, Sunflower seeds and Almonds) or Dessicated Coconut for rolling

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Superhero balls
  1. Place dates, cashews, almonds, sunflower seeds, coconut, and pumpkin seeds, into mixing bowl, chop Speed 8/8 sec.
  2. Add remaining ingredients (except the LSA or coconut for rolling), mix Speed 3/1.5-2 min. Length of time depends on how blended you want the mix to be.
  3. Sqeeze & roll into 14 small balls and roll in either the LSA or coconut
  4. Refridgerate for up to 2 weeks or store in the freezer until needed.

Tip

You can use any mix of nuts and seeds just swap them out for the same result. This recipe is based on one by Annabel Langbein an NZ chef.
