If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Place almonds in your Thermomix bowl, insert cup, select 15 sec. Speed 10. Gather and add sugar. 10 Sec. Speed Turbo. Gather with the spatula and add the other ingredients. 2 Min. Dough Mode.

If you have a traditional kipferl biscuit tray, scrape the dough straight into the moulds and then cook...

If you don't have a kipferl biscuit tray then.. Make a ball of the pastry, wrap it in cling wrap and let it rest in the fridge for about 2 hours. After 2 hours, create thick snake shapes and make crescent moon biscuits. Tips should be thinner. Put biscuits on a baking pan with greaseproof paper. Bake 10-15 Min. 175°C.

While the biscuits are still warm generously coat them in vanilla sugar (using a sieve)... tmrc_emoticons.) Then leave to completely cool tmrc_emoticons.) Enjoy them! We love them here! tmrc_emoticons.)

Tip

Make sure you make the vanilla sugar ahead of time... It is such a yummy addition in your pantry (I promise) x x

I would also recommend storing the bikkies in an air tight container .. You can also pop a vanilla pod in the container for some infused flavour tmrc_emoticons.)
