Ingredients

White Chocolate Mud Cake

  • 300 grams white chocolate
  • 200 grams Butter
  • 272 grams plain flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 240 grams Milk
  • 160 grams caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs room temperature

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grease Bundt Cake Tin (baking tin of choice).
  2. Add 300g white chocolate to bowl chop 4 seconds/speed 10.
  3. Add 200g butter. Melt 3 minutes/80 degrees celcius/speed 4.
  4. Add 270g plain flour, 1.5tsp baking powder, 240g milk, 160g caster sugar, 1tsp vanilla essence, 2 eggs. Mix 20 seconds/speed 5. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula and mix again 10 seconds/speed 5.
  5. Pour into Bundt Cake Tin (Baking dish of choice) and bake 90 minutes (160 degrees celcius) until a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean.
  6. Remove tin from oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes before removing from tin and transferring to wire rack to finish cooling.
