  • 10g cinnamon quill
  • 25g Fennel seed
  • 15g szechuan peppercorns
  • 10 cloves
  • 12 star anise

Recipe's preparation

  1. MAKE SURE YOUR BOWL IS CLEAN AND DRY

    Add all ingredients to the bowl and mill until desired consistency

REMEMBER; this is your recipe! Mix up the ingredients to suit your tastes and flavour.

This is the blend I use in my DIY Hoisin Sauce, which I use in the Onion and Plum Sauce.

This is one of my favourite blends because not only does it have the five flavors of the spices (sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and umami (savoriness), but it also refers to the five traditional Chinese elements fire, water, wood, earth and metal (gold)
