  • Great curry powder recipe.

Great curry powder recipe. Unfortunately my husband is allergic to chilli and anything from the capsicum family, which makes buying curry powder from the supermarket problematic.  So it was easy to omit the chilli from the recipe, without too much of a compromise on flavour.

  • Hi Ebevans, You could crush

Submitted by Thermomix in Australia on 28. May 2015 - 16:20.

    Hi Ebevans,

You could crush the pod beforehand, for one tsp of seeds I would guess you will need about 10 pods (this is a guess), however after milling you may have some pod pieces still in the bowl that you will need to remove, they do not always mill down completely. Alternatively you could buy grounded cardamom and add at the end.

Hope this was of some help,

    Kind regards,

Could I use cardamon pods for this? Or do they have they have to be seeds?

  • Fab mix. I couldn't find

Fab mix. I couldn't find curry leaves at my local supermarket so I left them out and was worried it would effect the mix but the taste of the curry was superb with this mix still. Thanks heaps ☺️

Absolutely delicious, and far nicer than any shop-bought curry powder I've tried.
