  • 250 g water
  • 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
  • 100 g salt
  • 250 g flour
  • 20 g vegetable oil
  • Food colouring, (optional)

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add water, cream of tartar and salt mc on - 5 min, 60deg, speed 3
    Add flour and oil mc on - mix 40s, speed 4
    Dough modeKnead 1 min

    Turn out on to silicone mat and knead further to combine. Roll into a log and divide in to 3 even pieces.



    Add food colouring as desired

Tip

Recipe makes three balls, picture is of two batches.

Can use any kind of oil, vegetable oil is the most economical i find.

You can also use course salt if that's all you have as it's dissolved in the first step.

Store in a sealed container for up to 6 months tmrc_emoticons.)
