60 minute lunch rolls

Ingredients

12 piece(s)

60 minute lunch rolls

  • 275 g warm water
  • 1 level tbsp dried yeast
  • 1 level teaspoons sugar
  • 40 g olive oil
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 600 g Baker's Flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 level teaspoons bread improver
  • 1 level teaspoons malt barley, optional
  • 1 tablespoons butter, melted

Recipe's preparation

    How to:
  1. 1. Add all the ingredients in the order listed.

    2. Blend sp 7/10 secs. Adjust with extra water/ flour if required.

    3. Knead Dough mode5 minutes.

    4. Tip into a greased covered bowl/Thermomat and leave to prove 15 minutes.

    5. Punch down, divide into 12 pieces and roll into balls.

    6. Place in a greased/lined lamington style pan.

    7. Cover with a damp tea towel and leave to rise a further 15-20 minutes, or until doubled.
    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    8. Brush with the melted butter and place on a greased/lined lamington tray.

    9. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

    10. Cool on a wire rack.

    Malt barley/ Brewing sugar adds a lovely texture to the bread. Not essential but nice if you can get it ( see photo #2 above). European bread mostly add it.
