Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Perfect buns! D’lish buns!...
Always turn out perfectly, I mix the toppings up a bit, this time I have 4 x cheese & bacon, 5 with just cheese and the other 3 were caramelised onion & cheese (I caramelised some onion and then laid out the dough, and spread onto dough and then formed a ball, I did place cheese on top but must have been after the pre oven pic) I just had one for lunch, 24hrs after baking and they are still just as good as yesterday.
I use the yeast that has the bread improver already included. I also weigh the total dough and divide by 12, each roll was 68gms

Hi mine were only small, like scones followed the recipe. I couldn't get the rolls to prove further. It doesn't say anywhere in the recipe to turn off the oven once you pre Heat. It did feel all wrong at the time but I followed your steps. I feel this is an important step that probably would of made the difference. I will try it again.
It was difficult to keep the cheese and bacon on. What did I do wrong? I used all fresh ingredients in date Thank you

I cooked These for the first time and the dough didn't prove or rise? I used 1.5 teaspoons of dry yeast and no improver would that have caused it?

You sooo don't need me to tell you how amazing these are!! Never have I been able to make bread that is even half decent... until today!! Yum is the only word I can use to describe these! 👏 You are 1 very clever lady!! I've procrastinated for so long over these but today was the day!
Next ones I'll be trying GF using Caputo GF flour. If they work out even half as good as this we'll have a GF game changer on our hands!!
Thanks for sharing a winning recipe!
Aptly Named Rolls!...
Aptly Named Rolls!
I have my granddaughters over from Ireland and have been introducing them to the wonders of baking with the Thermomix. This was one of the first things they wanted to bake as they always enjoyed the cheese & bacon scrolls from BD whenever they were in Australia.
They were certainly not disappointed when they tried this recipe.
The scrolls rose beautifully, were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
Thanks for a great recipe.

Made these for the first time today. Super easy and so delicious! Preheated oven to 150 degrees for 10 minutes. Turned off oven and put dough into rise as it was a cold winter morning. Used 2tsp apple cider vinegar instead of bread improver.

absolutely rapt with how these turn out- even with my 'cheat' by using a shaving of a Vitamin C tablet (ascorbic acid), instead of combing the aisles for bread improver
thanks for sharing!!

Very straightforward, helped them along to prove by putting in the oven with a tray of boiling water. Covered with cheese and chopped ham, turned out brilliantly. In the freezer now ready for school lunches.

These have become a lunchbox staple in our house! The kids, hubby and I all love them (and apparently the dog too as she stole some off the bench Last week🤦🏼♀️, the missing one pictured was all me though 🤣)
I make a double batch in the TM6 with no issues, just blend slightly longer, scrape down before kneading and knead a bit longer.
I do half and half white and wholemeal flour, use ACV instead of improver and just use regular coles flour, whatever is on special.
This is my 4th batch and no ones sick of them yet. This time I defrosted some frozen spinach, warmed it slightly, dried with a paper towel and added when adding flour etc. You can't taste it at all, i just added about 15g more flour incase it made them stickier. Easy way to get a little more veg into your day.

Maria B12:I made these and turned them out onto the bench - I needed significantly more flour on my hands to counteract the stickiness. This morning I turned the dough out onto the TM Essentials pastry mat and they were fine - no need for extra flour. Not sure if that was the difference, but thought it may help.
