Cheese and bacon loaf

Cheese and bacon loaf

  • 250 g SR flour
  • 1/4 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Chopped chives, fresh or dried
  • 90 g Butter, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 80 g Milk
  • 100 g shortcut bacon rashers, diced
  • 90 g grated cheese, + extra to sprinkle on top

Recipe's preparation

    How to:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
    Grease and line a medium loaf pan.

    Blend the flour, mustard powder, baking powder, bicarb, pepper, salt and chives 15secs/sp4.

    Add the butter, 10secs/sp4.

    Beat the egg and milk together and add to the Closed lid, along with the remaining ingredients, except for the extra cheese.

    Blend 10secs/sp3/Counter-clockwise operation.

    Knead Dough mode20secs.

    Spread into the pan, sprinkle with the extra cheese and bake for 40 mins or until cooked when tested.

    Leave in the pan for 10 mins, then cool on a wire rack.

    Wrap in foil when cool and slice to serve the next day.

Accessories you need



Although this slices better after 24 hours, it can be sliced whenn coo.
Serve with lashings of butter.
