  • 1 level teaspoons dried yeast
  • 1 level teaspoons sugar raw
  • 1 level teaspoons salt, flaked
  • 375 g warm water
  • Olive Oil to grease the bowl for rising

  • 1/2 level teaspoons sea salt flakes

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Instructions
  1. Combine flour,yeast and salt in the bowl, 15 seconds speed speed 3. Add water 30 seconds speed Gentle stir setting. 5 minutes Dough modefunction.
  2. Turn dough into lightly oiled bowl and cover with cling film and set in a warm place to prove (away from drafts) until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat oven to 230 degrees Celsius.
    Line two trays and place on middle shelf to heat.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured bread mat and cut in half (using a plastic spatula). Place each piece on a lined tray and stretch into a rectangle no wider than the width of your tray.
  5. Cover with damp tea towels and set in the same warm spot to rise for 15 minutes.
  6. Using the end of wooden spoon dipped in flour, poke a few holes in the bread to catch some of the oil/egg mixture.
  7. Place egg yolk and oil in bowl and whisk 3 seconds speed 3. Brush top of both bread then sprinkle with combined seeds then follow with a sprinkle of sea salt flakes.
  8. Remove prepared tray from oven and slide both loaves onto the tray. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
