White Bread Loaf

Jumbo White Bread Loaf

  • 340 g lukewarm water
  • 1.5 level tsp caster sugar
  • 2 level tsp dried instant yeast
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 600 g Baker's Flour
  • 2 level tsp salt

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place water, yeast and sugar into mixing bowl and warm 2 min/37°C/speed 1.
  2. Add 20g Olive oil, flour, salt and bread improver and knead Dough /6 min.
  3. Lightly oil a ceramic or glass bowl. Transfer dough into oiled bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Leave to prove in a warm place until doubled in size (approx. 1 hour).
  4. Punch down proved dough, fold dough on itself to form a ball with smooth side up
  5. Transfer dough into loaf tin, then brush the top of dough with a little water and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cover with a kitchen towel and leave dough to prove again until it has risen to the top of the loaf tin (approx. 1 to 1.5 hours), preheat oven to 180°C
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bread sounds hollow when tapped on the underside. Transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice bread and serve.
