  • 160 grams Milk of choice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dash vanilla extract

Recipe's preparation

    Custard
  1. Add sugar and corn flour to bowl and blitz on speed 10 for 10 seconds.

     

    Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 6 minutes, 90 degrees, speed 4.

     

    Great served with fruit, macadamias and cacao nibs

    The only change I made to the recipe was that I used a bit over a teaspoon of egg rather than a full egg. It was still too eggy and way too sweet! I couldn't get through it.

  • I substituted with coconut sugar and my custard...

    I substituted with coconut sugar and my custard was dark brown! Was also overly sweet. Will try again using Rapadura sugar. Perfect quantity for one person to pour over fruit but if you want a decent size bowlful you may need to double and make it "custard for two" instead!
