Limoncello Semifreddo

Semifreddo & Syrup

  • Juice & rind 1 lemon
  • 40 grams sugar
  • 80mls Limoncello, from selected Bottle shops


  • 325ml Lemon curd, EDC double batch
  • 250 grams cream cheese, chopped into squares
  • 240ml Tub Mascarpone cheese, EDC REcipe

Lemon Syrup

  • 100 grams sugar
  • 100ml water
  • 1 zest of one lemon, cut into strips Pith removed

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place rind/zest of lemon in TM bowl with 40grms of sugar mill on speed 9 for 10 seconds

  2. Add Limoncello mix on speed 3 for 3 seconds set asied in a bowl suitable for dipping sponge fingers

  3. Add Lemon Curd and Cream Cheese into TM bowl and beat on speed 5 for 15 seconds till smooth

  4. Add Mascopone and beat on speed 5 for a further 25 seconds until smooth

  5. Line loaf tin with Cling Wrap leavaing plenty of overhang on each side 

  6. Dip enough sponge fingers (6 to 8 sponge fingers) into the Limocello mixture to cover the base of the loaf tin

  7. Spread half of the cream mixture over the sponge fingers 

  8. Continue dipping the sponge fingers into the Limoncello  mixture and place over the cream mixture

  9. Spread the balance of the cream mixture over the Sponge fingers

  10. Continue dipping the sponge fingers into the Limoncello  mixture and place over the cream mixture

  11. Pull the Cling Wrap ovr the top of hte mixture to seal the top

  12. Place into the Freezer for 6 hours of overnight 

  13. To Serve remove form the Freezer and place into the Fridge for 30 minutes cut into thick slices 

  14. To Serve cut into thick slices 

  15. Lemon Syrup
  16. Place Lemon zest strips, water and sugar into TM bowl on 100 degrees for 12 minutes on speed 1 until thickend slightly 

  17. Transfer into bowl or small serving jug and chill to cool and thicken

  18. Drizzle over slices of semifreddo  and garnish with fine lemon zest

Try substituting with Orange using an alternative liqueur or use LIme and use coconut liqueur

    tmrc_emoticons.) Delicious! I ran out of the dipping liquid. A couple of inclusions to instructions like the sponge finger biscuits in ingredients and when to add the lemon juice.
