    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. !. Grease or line a 20cm pudding tin or springform tin.

    2. Place sugar in Closed lid and mill for 10secs/speed 9.

    3. Add butter, milk and eggs and mix for 15 secs/speed 5.

    4. Add flour and mix 20 secs/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 4

    5. Spread apricot jam over base of tin

    6. Spoon batter over the top of the jam, spreading evenly

    7. Place 1200g water in Closed lid

    8. Place tin in bottom of Varoma dish, place Varoma on top of Closed lid with lid and steam for 60 mins/Varoma/ Speed 2.

    9. When done, invert onto plate to serve.

Tip

This was my grandmothers recipe and she always used Apricot Jam but other jams would be fine.

Lovely with cream or icecream.
