  • I made small batch using 50 g

I made small batch using 50 g of dates, 50 g of uncrystallised (naked) ginger,30 g of almonds, 3 or4 strips of orange rind , a pinch of cardamom. ( no honey).  Delicious.  I'm happily working my way through all those ageing packets of dried fruit in my pantry, experimenting with different combinations.  I especially love the use of cardamom and orange zest.  Have also tried adding a surprise centre by moulding the ball around a small cube of ginger or half an almond.  The possibilities are endless!

These are so delicious. The whole family loves them which is a real plus. I love the orange fragrance, the touch of cardamon, and the chunky but soft texture. And so healthy. Thanks.  tmrc_emoticons.)
