Tuna Mornay

1 Brown Onion, halved

  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g Tasty cheese, Cut into 1.5cm cubes
  • 5 sprig fresh parsley
  • 1 brown onion, halved
  • 500 g full-cream milk
  • 50 g flour
  • 30 g Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 can tuna in brine/spring water, drained
  • 200 g bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 can Corn, drained

Recipe's preparation

  1. Boil the eggs following the instrucitons in the EDC p 57, set aside and peel when cool enough to handle.



  2. Return eggs to the bowl, with the parsley, chop Closed lid/3 seconds/Turbo, scrape down sides and repeat if necessary.

    Remove eggs and set aside.

  3. Cheese
  4. Grate cheese 10 sec/speed 9

    Remove cheese and set aside with egg/parsley mix

  5. White Sauce
  6. Place the onion in the bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 7

  7. place butter into the mixing bowl and saute onion 3min/100deg/speed2

  8. Add milk, flour salt and pepper to the mixing bowl

    cook 7min/90deg/speed 4.

  9. Finishing
  10. Break up the tuna into small chunks, add this and all other ingredients (including the egg, parsley and cheese) to the bowl.

    Cook 5min/90deg/Counter-clockwise operation/2.

    You may need to stir the ingredients a little through the MC hole with the spatula to get the ingredients mixing efficiently

  11. Transfer to thermo server.

Serve with rice, or, instead of placing the tuna mornay into the thermoserver, place into a baking dish and top with crushed cornflakes and parmesian cheese and bake until the top is golden
