Apple and Onion Pulled Pork and Maple Leek Pizza

  • Apple and Onion Pulled Pork, (See my other recipe for this)
  • Pizza base (whichever recipe you prefer (I use the EDC book recipe)
  • 2 leeks
  • 60 g Pure Maple Syrup
  • Bbq sauce
  • 125 g Mozarella Cheese
  • 125 g tasty cheddar cheese
  • Baby Spinach Leaves
  • 1 Onion Caramelised

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Prepare Pulled Pork as per recipe, set aside.

     

    2. Prepare Pizza Base as per recipe.

     

    3. Chop both Leeks and place in a frypan with a tbsn of Olive oil, stir until coated with oil and cook on medium-low heat until softened, approx 5 minutes.

     

    4. Stir in the Maple Syrup and cook for another minute. Turn off heat.

     

    5.Prepare your Caramelised Onions

     

    6. Roll out pastry and spread with BBQ Sauce.

     

    7. Grate both cheeses and spread over sauce.

     

    8. Spread Pulled Pork mix over cheese.

     

    9. Scatter Maple Syrup Leeks and Caramelised Onion over the top.

     

    10 Dress with fresh Baby Spinach Leaves and bake in oven on 160-180 deg until cheese begins to go golden around the edges.

     

    Preparation time assumes you have prepared the Pulled Pork and Pizza Dough earlier.
