Was wanting to try something different to make with Sausages & found this quick tasty meal. Didn't use the pasta sauce used a can of tomatoes with basil & garlic instead. And served on mashed potato. The family enjoyed a change from our everyday Normal.

Great and tasty recipe. Seconds were called for.
I used pork sausages which I cooked in a frypan first. Then since I didn't have any pasta sauce I used a tin of tomato soup. Delicious! Will definitely do this one again.

Are the sausages supposed to be cooked first?

My sausages ended up pureed! I have a mushy soup... not a chunky casserole. But i followed the recipe

    Really yummy and easy!

I used just 400g of plain BBQ sauages, but added diced carrot, sweet potato and froxen peas.

Didnt use pasta sauce, used a can of diced tomatoes, tablspn of tomato paste teaspoon of vege stock concentrate and a tesponn of itaian herb mix.

I acutally forgot the worchester sauce and curry power and added in at the last minute.

Served with rice, really yummy, will be making again, kids loved it!

  • I thought we'd give this a go

    Submitted by gingerchef_jess on 4. October 2015 - 21:46.

I thought we'd give this a go ( i really love sausages) to try something different but we found the baked bean taste a little overpowering and didn't really mix with the pasta sauce, i think next time we would add a four bean mix instead and go with what one of the other ladies did and add diced/crished tomatoes instead of pasta sauce. It was still yum but the sausages got a little lost in all the baked beans.

  • Delish! My family don't like

    Submitted by Cjones86 on 18. July 2015 - 11:21.

Delish! My family don't like baked beans so I made this to use up some tins we got in Chrisco. I put them all in instead of reserving them so there were no whole beans. Very very tasty. I'm disappointed I have no more beans left

I am so glad you all enjoyed it. That's why I only add half of the beans during the cooking as they do get lost in the dish

Submitted by Leah Drury on 25. August 2014 - 18:03.

I loved this and so did the kids! It was simple and easy. I used regular, long thin sausages and cut them into thirds (raw). I also used 1 can of cannellini beans (rinsed and drained first) as a replacement. I added the whole can with the sausage step. Beans got hidden in the final result. Winner! Thanks for adding tmrc_emoticons.)
