Foodie Mumma Ren’s Butter Chicken
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 cm ginger, stem
- 2 tbsp Flavourista Korma Curry Spice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vinegar or lime juice
- 1 tbsp Agave nectar or honey
- 100 grams raw cashews
- 300 mL cream, whipping, 30-40% fat
- 1 can canned diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp tandoori food colour
- 1 tsp chilli flake, dried, OPTIONAL

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Place Garlic cloves, ginger and quartered onion into the bowl and chop for 4 seconds / speed 7. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
2. Add diced butter and garlic oil. Cook for 3 minutes / 120 degrees / speed 1
3. Add your tomatoes, nuts and water. Blitz for 1 minute / speed 8
4. Add your protein, cream/coconut milk , curry spice. Cook for 20 minutes / 100 degrees/ Reverse / Speed 1.
5. Add salt to taste. Pour into a thermoserver or a dish then add in your tandoori food colour and stir well.
