Tip

It is very easy to cook a larger quantity for this recipe or you can steam the chicken first then make the sauce.

Overall the recipe wasn't too bad, however, I found the sauce to be quite watery and a little bland.

Easy to make, but might go on the lookout for another receipe to get a creamier sauce.

The chicken shredded as the other comments stated, next time i would cook the chicken seperate and add it at a later stage. Also, at least 1tbsp of cornflour is required. Needed heaps of salt, pepperand parmesan to get any taste, kids enjoyed it at least. Definately a kids meal.

  • Did you use chicken thigh?

Submitted by Melinda Hutchison on 1. June 2014 - 18:31.

Did you use chicken thigh? Breast will shred, especially cooking for 15 mins. If you don't have thigh then steam your breast for 15-20 mins in the varoma dish, set aide then cook sauce for approx 5 minutes.

  • Made this recipe last night

Made this recipe last night and it was not very pleasant!  It was okay.  My chicken mainly shredded as well and the machine was on Counter-clockwise operation.  Too much watery sauce.  Had to thicken with a lot of cornflour.  Didn't use wine either as I didn't have any!  Didn't look anything like the picture.  Won't be making again.

  • I don't know what went wrong?

    Submitted by Tam_Dan on 27. May 2014 - 20:18.

I don't know what went wrong?   tmrc_emoticons.( the chicken ended up as mush. I double checked that my thermie was on reverse because the chicken started shredding and  although I substituted liquid chicken stock for the white wine (to make it kid friendly), there was no sauce? What we did eat was tasty enough, but the texture of chicken paste was a turn off.

  • Cooked this tonight  Smelt

    Submitted by Corrinna on 8. May 2014 - 22:01.

Cooked this tonight  Smelt delcious and tasted yummy. I messed up though and put in too much wine. Really easy recipe and would def cook again. I used chicken breast so reduced cooking time to 8/10 mins. Think thighs would have been better but I didn't have any.
