Healthy Turkey Bolognese with Zoodles or Pasta

Healthy Turkey Bolognese

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 zucchini
  • 15g olive oil
  • Handful fresh basil
  • 500g turkey mince
  • 400g tinned tomatoes
  • 140g tomato paste
  • 1tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add onion, garlic, vegetables and basil to bowl and chop for 5 seconds on speed 7. Scrape down sides. Insert butterfly whisk. Add turkey mince and olive oil. Cook for 10 minutes on 100 degrees on speed Gentle stir setting reverse. Add tomatoes, paste, oregano and seasoning s dish cook for additional 10 minutes on 100 degrees on speed Gentle stir setting reverse. Set aside in Thermoserver whilst you cook pasta or zoodles.
    **Zoodles can be cooked in Varoma bowl for last 5 minutes of pasta cooking in Thermomix bowl. For pasta, heat water for 10 minutes on 100 degrees on speed 1. Add pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes further.
