Ingredients

Indian Spicy Fennel Chicken

  • 500 grams boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 --- onion
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 level tsp Minced Ginger
  • 2 level tsp Minced garlic
  • 1 level tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 level tsp ground fennel seeds
  • 1 level tsp garam masala
  • 1 level tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 level tsp salt
  • 1 level tsp cayenne pepper

For finishing

  • 2 level tsp lemon juice
  • 4 grams parsley

Recipe's preparation

    Instructions
  1. Prepare the Chicken and Marinade:[/b]



    Using a fork, pierce the chicken pieces all over to allow the marinade to penetrate.



    In the Thermomix TM6 bowl[/b], add the minced ginger, minced garlic, coconut oil, smoked paprika, ground fennel seeds, garam masala, turmeric, kosher salt, cayenne pepper, and a small splash of water (about 1-2 tbsp).



    Blend[/b] on speed 5 for 5 seconds to create a smooth paste.





    Marinate the Chicken:[/b]



    Add the chicken pieces to the bowl with the spice paste. Mix using the reverse function[/b] on speed 2 for 30 seconds until the chicken is evenly coated.



    Transfer the chicken to a large bowl, cover, and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.





    Cook the Chicken and Onion:[/b]



    Preheat your Air Fryer[/b] to 360°F (182°C).



    Place the marinated chicken and onion slices in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with vegetable oil.



    Air fry at 360°F (182°C) for 15 minutes[/b], shaking the basket halfway through and spraying the chicken with additional vegetable oil.



    Check the internal temperature of the chicken using a meat thermometer. It should reach 165°F (74°C) when fully cooked.





    Finish the Dish:[/b]



    Remove the chicken and onions from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving platter.



    Drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley.
