  • This has to be the best stew

    Submitted by Leljones on 20. February 2016 - 11:42.

This has to be the best stew I have ever done. I added some suet to the dumplings and my whole family loved it, even my daughter who is the fussiest eater ever, she even went back for seconds. My husband has asked me to make it again, which is also unusual for him. The lamb was so tender I can't even begin to tell you how delicious this stew is. Will definitely be making this again. Thank you so much for adding this recipe xx

Stew was delicious but the dumplings were quite dry in the inside, did i do sth wrong or are they suppose to be like that? Any suggestions to keep it more moist inside?

So easy and tasty! Like other reviewers, my potato kind of disappeared into nothing (I even put three in to try stop that). It was still lovely though- and the dumplings were simply amazing!

Thanks for adding. This was easy and yum. Might save this for entertaining others as opposed to a family dish. My kids didn't really like the dumplings. My potatoes disappeared into the mix.... Would have preferred large chunks. Tasted great. Was easy to follow. I didn't find the liquid to be very runny at all. It blended well with the dumplings tmrc_emoticons.)

Beautiful! I noticed in the comments that someone said it wasn't quite thick enough so I added a tbsp of corn flour mixed with the juices. Perfect tmrc_emoticons.)

Such an easy & tasty meal!

It wasn't as thick as I would've liked it to be, but the dumplings absorbed it good.
