      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    POACHED CHICKEN FOR CHICKEN & LEEK PIE
  1. Place chicken in bowl with wings facing to the top (as shown in photo)

    Top up with stock of your choice – to the maximum mark.

    Add spices of your choice - I added pepper, salt, turmeric and some chilli.

    Cook for 50 minutes - Varoma - speed .5 on REVERSE (depends on size of chicken – time maybe reduce for smaller chicken)  My chicken was 1.4 kilo

     

    Once done you have a delicious stock to keep for something else.

Tip

Use turmeric - adds a nice colour to the chicken!
