  • 400 g mixed vegetable puree, e.g. carrot, beetroot, zucchini, sweet potato, celery, onion
  • 75 g green lentils
  • 125 g water

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add the oil and mince to the mixing bowl and cook for 10 mins, 100 degrees, Counter-clockwise operationGentle stir setting with the measuring cup on.

  2. Scrape down the bowl, then add the caramelised onions, vegetable puree, lentils and water and cook for 25 mins, 100 degrees, Counter-clockwise operationGentle stir setting without the measuring cup on.

  3. Check if mince is cooked - if not, cook for another 5-10 mins,100 degrees, Counter-clockwise operationGentle stir setting without the measuring cup on.

  4. Serve savoury mince into bowls and sprinkle with grated cheese, if using.
