Spicy savoury mince
- 30 grams olive oil
- 1 --- Onion halved
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 stalks Celery, Roughly Chopped
- 2 carrots, Roughly Chopped
- 1 green capsicum quartered
- 1 red capsicum quartered
- 500 g mince beef
- 400 g diced tomatoes
- 50 g tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable stock (BCB)
- 30 g Worcestershire sauce
- 1-2 tablespoons mustard powder
- 2 tablespoons Chipotle Tabasco
- salt & peper to taste

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Place onion, garlic, celery, carrot and capsicum in bowl and chop for 4 seconds on speed 5.
2. Add oil and sauté for 4 minutes 100 degrees speed 1.
3. Add mince and cook for 10 minutes Varoma, reverse, speed 0.5.
4. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, vegetable stock, worcestershire sauce, mustard powder and chipotle tabasco and cook 15 minutes 100 degrees reverse on speed 0.5. (Remove MC and replace with basket)
5. Add peas and corn and cook for 2 minutes 100 degrees, reverse, speed 0.5. (Remove MC and replace with basket).
Place in Thermoserver to serve.

Tip
You could use any type of mustard, depending on taste.
Serve with rice, pasta, mash potato, on toast or use as the base for Nachos.

Very nice and easy to make. I did my mince in the steam basket so it doesn't go all mushy and keeps great texture. I also didn't use the Tabasco so my 18mth old can eat it and used 250g of peas and corn at the end

I just cooked this in advance for dinner tomorrow night. It is really really tasty. Only difference I made was I added 1.5 tsp of curry powder and few drops of tabasco sauce. I reckon it will be really really really good tomorrow

Yum. Thanks for sharing. I didn't have celery or capsicum so I used parsnip and broccoli. I also used passata instead of tomatoes as someone else suggested. Will definitely be making this again

Awesome flavour even without the mustard (I used gravy instead). Wasnt too sure how many peas and corn to add, as couldnt find them in the list of ingrediants but just piled in about a cup each. Lovely dinner for the family.

Great recipe! I was going out so did first 2 steps before I left adding a red chilli then when I got back continued step 3 onwards.. which saved time close to dinner time. My whole family loved it, served with brown rice and I managed to use 600g veal mince in the TM31 with no trouble. Made heaps too. Served 5 with leftovers for lunch next day. THANKYOU!

Delicious! I left out the Tabasco Sauce and put a scant 1 T of mustard in and it was fine for my 'non-spicey' family. I also used 400g of Passata instead of the tomatoes. I made it in my TM31, just using Speed Soft instead of the 0.5 speed as indicated in the recipe. Thank you for the recipe.
