Recipe's preparation

  1. Add approximately 800g mixed vegetables to the Thermomix Bowl. Chop on Speed 6 for 4 seconds.  Pour in 850g water.

Add whole chicken to Varoma dish and place in position.  Season as needed. I use Garlic Salt.

Cook soup and chicken together for 65 minutes, Varoma Temp, Speed 1.

You will find that all the chicken juices will make a flavoursome stock to enhance your soup flavour.

Serve soup with bread rolls from the Basic Cookbook and add borken up chicken if necessary or use in sandwiches for the week.

I cooked this today. Very tasty. I added extra veg into the varoma with the chicken for the last 30 minutes. My chicken was bigger than the recipe so it didn’t cook all the way through; I put it in the oven to finish cooking and crisp up the skin. It would have been nice with a gravy but I couldn’t be bothered and it was yummy as it was.

Delicious! I also added the chicken (shredded into soup reverse speed 4 for 10sec). Next time I would add veggie stock too.

Made this 3 times now, using what ever veg is left in fridge. Every time it’s tasted beautiful. Kids love it, easy way for them to have extra serves of veg. I use the chicken in soup and then for lunches next day.

This tasted AMAZING. My family and I are not big soup eaters and we all loved it, even my 3 year old and 15 month old ate it. We will definitely be making this again. Thank you.

This was really flavoursome for a simple soup and so easy. We shredded half the chicken and put that in and then used the other for a pasta. Perfect for winter.
