      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Make the Mince
  1. Place shallots, ginger and garlic into your Closed lid.
    Chop on speed 5 for 5 seconds, or until nice and fine.
    Add in the chicken tenderloins, soy sauce and oyster sauce.
    Chop on speed 5 for 3 seconds.
  2. Fill your dumping wrappers with about half a teaspoon of mince each, wet one side of the wrapper, then press to close.
  3. I like to fry my dumpings on one side, then add in a splash of water and place a lid on top to allow them to steam through. This won't take long. Once the water has evaporated turn the dumplings over to fry on the other side, if you wish.
  4. Serve with a dumpling dipping sauce, soy sauce or sweet chilli sauce.

Tip

I also like to add in 'hidden' veges for my kids. Sometimes I might add in some celery, capsicum or courgette to the first stage. I also add in chilli if they are for adults.

Feel free to sub the chicken for pork. Mince in the same way.

You can purchase dumpling wrappers at Kosco supermarkets, or make your own.

You can also steam your dumpings in your varoma.
