Tomato and Orange Crust for Roast Chicken

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. STEP 1

    Into the Thermomix bowl put orange rind, garlic cloves and root ginger.  Chop 10 sec/speed 7.  Scrape down.

     

  2. Add sundried tomato.  Chop 15 sec/speed 7.  Scrape down.

     

  3. STEP 2

    Add brown sugar, balsamic vinegar and tomato paste.  Mix 10 sec/speed 4.

     

  4. Apply paste to chicken prior to roasting, as per relevant cooking instructions.
