Red Lentil & Vege Curry
- 1 brown onion, Peeled and halved
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp Minced Ginger, Or 20g fresh
- 1 long red chilli, Optional
- 50 g olive oil
- 2 carrots, Cut into 3rds
- 0.5 Capsicum, Cut into chunks
- 1 zucchini, Cut into pieces
- 1 red lentils, 1 cup
- 2 cans tomatoes
- 100 g tomato paste
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp tumeric
- 1 level tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 200 g water

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add onion, garlic, ginger, chilli and olive oil to bowl.
Chop 5 sec, sp 5 - Scrape down bowl.
Sauté 5 mins, 100, sp 2 - Add carrot, capsicum & zucchini
Chop 5 secs, sp 5 - Add remaining ingredients
Cook 20 minutes, 100, sp 1 reverse - Serve with rice
