Great recipe!
We used chick peas as we didn't have any cannellini beans and sweet potato in place of carrot and they were amazing. These would have gone really well with mango chutney or sweet chili sauce and sour cream... wil try this next time!

This recipe was so easy and delicious, I love the nuts and seeds and the combination of the spices and beans work well together. This recipe made huge batch so I froze some and happily ate them for lunch for several days.

These were delicious, thanks so much. I replaced the egg with a chia egg to make them vegan for our grandchildren, and they loved them (even the fussy one who 'doesn't eat burgers'). I used chickpeas because that's what I had in the pantry, and reserved a little of the liquid, whisked it up with a bit of soy milk and dipped the burgers into it, then coated with breadcrumbs for a crunchy finish.

I made these Vegie Burgers for our dinner last night. I served them with a Thermie home made tomato sauce. They are so easy and delicious. I have frozen some for a meal another time, when all I have to do then is cook the vegies and we have a quick healthy meal in no time.
Great Taste....

Oats are gluten free aren't they?
Would it affect the recipe
Would it affect the recipe much to omit the nuts? We are a newly nut free household so any suggestions to nut alternatives would be very much appreciated!

My two year old loved them
My two year old loved them and so did I. I used 1/4 tspn cayenne pepper instead of chilli for him. I will make it again. Easy and nutritious.
Loved this recipe. Used
Loved this recipe. Used lentils instead of the cannellini beans and added some corn to the mix as well as some pine nuts. Will defiantly be making these again.

Made this for my family as my 11 year old has decided she is a vegitarian. Acctually rolled the mix in pastry to make sausage rolls. Every one loved it. Only used 1/2 tsp chilli and did not have sunflower seads so added sesame and chia seads instead. Big hit will make this one again.
Amazing burgers loved by all
Amazing burgers loved by all the famil, thank you!
Quite nice. Kids were happy
Quite nice. Kids were happy to eat 'em so that's good. I used pine nuts instead of sunflower seeds because that's what I had in the pantry. I left out the chilli and separate half the mix out for the kids. Then added half a teaspoon of cayenne instead of chilli. This was a bit too hot for me, so I'd cut it back to a quarter teaspoon of cayenne if I made it again.
This was a hit with my newly
This was a hit with my newly declared vegetarian daughter and my husband said "you can make that once a week!"
I did use a teaspoon of vegie paste as someone suggested instead of s&p. Sooooo,.....would it be freezable in balls prior to frying do you think?????
I made these today, and
I made these today, and instead of putting salt and pepper in, I used the thermo stock paste, they were perfect! I also tried rolling some of them in fine polenta, which gave them a nice crust, but is really not necessary!

The recipe doesnt say when to add the oats/crumbs mixture back in! I have read it a few times (hope it's not just me being dumb..). I guessed and threw them in at the end for the final mix.
