      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place parmesan cheese in bowl and grate for 10 seconds on speed 9.  Pop it into a dish and set aside. Wash and dry the bowl.

Pop in the butterfly, add chorizo and cook for 5 min, 100 degrees, Counter-clockwise operation speed 2, m/c off.

Add tomatoes and chicken and cook for 10 min 100 degrees Counter-clockwise operation speed 1, m/c on.

Add water, pasta and season with salt and pepper to your liking and cook for 10 minutes, 100 degrees, Counter-clockwise operation speed 1.5, m/c on.

Put into a Thermoserver and fold through the parmesan cheese.

    Enjoy!

N.b. The photo is not mine - we ate it too fast after a day of horseriding...  I'll upload a photo of mine next time I make it!!

Tip

You can easily make a double batch of the sauce only in the TM5 by not putting the pasta in the thermomix and instead cooking the pasta either beforehand using the BCB recipe for boiled pasta or by making the pasta on the stovetop while the sauce is cooking.

  • I am a newcomer to Thermomix, having received mine...

I am a newcomer to Thermomix, having received mine yesterday, so only an amateur. I made this meal and we liked it, the flavour was great, however I found the chicken to be a little tough and well, boiled. I left the meal in the warming bowl and while it cooked the pasta more, it seemed to soften the chicken a little. My question, is there a way to ‘saute’ the meat to give it a bit of colour?

Glad you enjoyed it Relle, yes make sure you don't dice your chicken too small or it can shred...  Alternatively you can use thigh which stays a little more intact - personally I don't like the flavour of thigh so I use breast tmrc_emoticons.)

  • Very tasty, ideal for a quick

Very tasty, ideal for a quick meal for the family during the week. I have only had my thermomix for a week. Next time  I will not cut my chicken as small, I think that would make it even better.
