Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation
- Weigh out 300g sushi rice into simmering basket
Rinse rice until water runs clear then return to TM - Add 1000g room temp water to the bowl.

MC on - Discard boiling water (carefully!) and return to TM
5 minutes
No heat"Gentle stir setting"
MC on - Immediately remove cooked rice and spread out in a bowl for maximum surface area to cool quickly.
Pour over 2 tablespoons of sushi seasoning (see notes) and gently fold while fanning to cool the rice until room temperature. - Add to nori with all your favourite sushi fillings

Tip
Sushi seasoning can be made:
1/2 Cup rice vinegar
2 Tablespoons caster sugar
1/2 Teaspoon salt
