Amazing Cob Loaf Dip - Essential Living Mumma

Ingredients

1 portion(s)

Dip

  • 400 g Tub of Natural Sour Cream, Full fat
  • 1 Tub Philly Spreadable Cream Cheese, Full fat
  • 500 g Diced bacon/Bacon Peices
  • 5 Spring onion strips, chopped
  • 1.5 package Cream of Chicken Soup, Dried packet
  • 100 g Cheddar cheese

Recipe's preparation

    Dip
  1. Fry bacon in a frying pan until browned.

  2. Dice cheese and add to thermomix. Grate on speed 9 for 10 seconds.

  3. Add sour cream and cream cheese and soup mix to bowl. mix on speed 4 for 10 seconds. Scrape down bowl and repeat until all incorporated.

  4. Add bacon and spring onion and mix on speed 3 reverse Counter-clockwise operation for 10 seconds.  

  5. Scoop out with spatula and put into microwave safe bowl and microwave for 5 minutes to make sure the cheese melts.

  6. Add to prepared cob loaf, cover with foil or the lid you cut off the top of the loaf and put in oven for 15-20 minutes on 150 degrees celcius.

  8. Cut a round circle in the top of the loaf and remove. Pull out the soft bread in the middle and rip into bit size peices. Arrange these around the main cob on a bakin tray and cook in over for 10 minutes at 150oC.  Follow above instructions and add dip to cob.

Don't blitz it too much in the thermomix, it will just make it too runny. Just do it enough so the ingredients are incorporated and smooth.

If you are taking it to a party dont put it in the oven with the dip in it yet, take it to the party and warm in their oven if possible. If there isnt one, warm up just befor you leave as it tastes nicer when warm.
