    Submitted by Thermigal on 4. November 2018 - 01:13.

Beautiful thank you. I used 250g fresh tomatoes and 250g red capsicum and omitted water. I used 3 small red chillis from our garden which gave it a nice spice and added garlic as we use garlic in everything. I think I could’ve safely doubled the batch in my TM5 as I ended up making it twice. Such an easy and delicious recipe. Thanks!!!

I made a batch of this & it’s absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.

One question - does any one know what can be used to replace the vinegar? I know my Dad would love this, but can’t have any vinegar, lemon juice etc due to stomach problems.

This is brilliant! I ended up going with half capsicum and half tomato. Because tomato’s have such a high water content, I left out the water and it turned out brilliantly! I know what everyone is getting for Christmas this year!!

Loved this recipe used 3 fresh chilli's instead of flakes as I had a load of them on my Chilli plants, tasted fantastic just enough heat.🌶
If you like it with more heat another 1 to 2 Chilli's should be enough.

The ones who used fresh chilli, how many did you use instead of the three tbsp of dried flakes?

Second, how long will it keep?

Third, what is the volume from one batch? Ie what size jars am I looking at? Thanks heaps in advance!

    Submitted by C.Paleo on 21. December 2015 - 15:55.

Simple recipe, was a little too spicy for us however will make again with a little less chilli, made about one jar. Would probably do a double batch next time. I cooked for a few extra minutes. It's almost candied.... Don't do that. I cannot get it back out of jar now as its glue like once cooked.

    Submitted by Macfi on 24. May 2014 - 21:10.

Made this jam after only having the thermomix one day and it turned out perfect. I used fresh chilli because I like the heat.  I used two whole chillies including seeds.  It is quite spicy but just how I like it with cheese & crackers.

Awesome. My husband has asked me to keep a constant supply in the fridge. Rather than 500g of red capsicum, I do approx 250g of red capsicum and 250g of tomato and it turns out perfect to our taste every time.
