Cranberry & Orange Relish

  • 1 Large Orange
  • 150g Granulated sugar
  • 30g water
  • 1 400g bag frozen cranberries

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Warm 2 or 3 jam jars in the oven - makes about 2lb.

    2. Peel orange thinly and put peel and sugar in TM bowl.

    3. With measuring cup in place blitz twice for 5 secs/Speed 9, scraping down bowl each time.

    4. With serrated knife saw all the pith off the orange, discard pith, cut the orange into quarters and put it with any juice into TM bowl. 

    5. With measuring cup in place chop 15 secs/speed 9.

    6. Add cranberries and water and with measuring cup in place cook 12 min/100CCounter-clockwise operation/speed 1.

    7. Carefully pour into warmed jars or serving dish. 

    Will keep for 6 months if jars are 'sterile clean' and lidded immediately.

Tip

The zest and orange juice in this recipe upgrade your standard cranberry sauce to something special.

Warning this mixture gets very hot, so although recipe is easy, take care not to get burnt.
