  • 1 level tbsp olive oil
  • 350 g white onion
  • 300 g tomatoes
  • 20 g brown sugar
  • 1/4 --- Cup of Tomato ketchup
  • 1 --- Cup of water
  • 20 g balsamic vinegar
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 level tbsp yellow mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch cinnamon, Optional

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Pre Chop both Onion and tomato in halves. Add Onion, tomato & oil to the bowl. Chop 4sec/Spd 4. MC lid on.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients into bowl. Cook All ingredients together 40mins/100/spd1.5
  3. Once cooked, pour Relish into clean Glass Jars. Screw lids on immediately and turn jars upside down to seal. Once cooled, store in fridge.

Tip

Once cooked. Separate mixture into glass jam jars. Screw lids on tight and turn upside down to seal. Once cooled keep in fridge.

    Thank you for the recipe. The relish was lovely with the Hot Dogs. Next time I will reduce the sugar.
