Onion Marmalade with cumin and coriander seeds



2 litre(s)

  • 1.2 kg onions, (about 8)
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 630 grams apple cider vinegar
  • 340 grams light brown sugar

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop onions 3 sec speed 5 in several batches-putting each batch aside.

    Then put all  back into the thermomix bowl.

    Add cumin, coriander seeds and vinegar.

    Cook 30 minutes VaromaCounter-clockwise operationspeed 2 mc off.

    Add sugar and cook 1 hour 100 degCounter-clockwise operationmc off and basket on.

    You may cook longer if you want to reduce more.

    Fill into sterilized jars.

    Keeps indefinitely in refrigerator.

    Great with a steak, a salad or on a cheese platter
