Ingredients

pesto

  • 1/2 --- cup toasted Pine Nuts (or toasted walnuts or blanched almonds)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp Sea salt (iodised)
  • 3 --- Cups Fresh Basil leaves loosely packed, extra virgin
  • 1/2 --- Cup Parmigiana-Reggiano, Grated or use 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 3/4 to taste Cup quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Toast nuts in oven, let cool.

    2. Place Garlic, nuts, sea salt until powdery - 10secs/speed 6-7.

    3. Add Basil and cheese or nutritional yeast and pulse to combine scraping occasionally (Hit Turbo .5 x3)

    4. With motor running speed 5 - drizzle oil in Thru the hole at the top.

    Use immediately.

Tip

Can be frozen in ice cub trays to add flavour to pasta sauce. Use as a dip, pasta sauce, stir through roast vegetables..
