Just so good! I wanted to eat it all! I added 1/2 tsp salt and it was perfect - mixed for about 2 mins with no oil.

  • Made my first ever batch of

    Submitted by MrsKenyon on 19. July 2016 - 08:34.

Made my first ever batch of nut butter! (OK, so I'm a bit slow, having had my Thermy since December 2014). The flavour is amazing. I added a grind of pink Himalyan salt and used 3tsp of Hemp oil instead of Coconut oil, adding a tsp at a time to check for consistency.

This recipe made twice the amount of what I can buy in NZ for $16-18/jar, and as I said, the flavour is not like anything I've ever purchased. Super delicious. Apple and nut butter for breakfast.

A very nice nut spread.  I added 1/2 teaspoon of salt because I like salt and to preserve it.

I didn't want to add oil, so I increased the mixing time to about 6 minutes, scraping down the sides every minute or so.
