  • 400g water
  • 220g raw sugar
  • 125g vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Sea salt or rock salt

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add to bowl, chilli's (split down the middle) ginger and garlic and chop 3 seconds/Speed 6.
    add all other ingredients except for cornflour/water mix.

    Cook 15 mins/100°/reverse/Speed 2.5.

    Set timer to 3 mins/100°/speed 2.5 and leave MC off so you can pour in cornflour/water mix.

    Tip into sterilised preserving jars.

    I tried this for the first time with some Philadelphia and it was amazing. It ha s a great consistency and goes a long way.
