For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Soften butter beforehand
1. Add half a cup of softened butter and 2 tablespoons of milk to bowl.
2. Mix on speed 2 until combined approx 1 to 2 mins
3. Put butterfly whisk in place and whisk at speed 4, 2 to 3 mins. Mix should become creamy and nearly double in volume.
4. transfer to a clean jar or pottery dish with lid. Store in fridge.

Tip
