Apricot and Brandy Jam (seriously delicious)

  • 1000 grams of washed and destoned apricots, cut into quarters
  • 100 grams of Brandy
  • 400 grams of white sugar

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add to the bowl the apricots, brandy, lemon juice and sugar
    Cook 30 minutes, 100deg, speed 2 - MC off basket on top
    Now steralise your jars with boiling water and let sit - or use your way of steralising your jars
    Then cook for a further ten minutes at 110 deg, speed 2, MC off Basket on top
    Empty the water from the jars ( make sure you wear gloves)
    Use the Thermomix lid on top of the jars to act as a funnel and fill your jars and seal - leave to cool and enjoy


You may wish to leave the brandy out BUT it adds a wonderful depth of flavour
It will still be wonderful with out the brandy addition
