  • Loved this soup. Used a small birdseye chilli....

Loved this soup. Used a small birdseye chilli. Didn't have any celery or coriander, so left these out. Used olive oil instead of margarine. Really nice soup - perfect easy dinner with crusty bread. thanks

  • My partner loved it, but it

    Submitted by cshearer on 29. August 2016 - 18:08.

My partner loved it, but it was a bit too spicy for me, I was a bit heavy handed with the turmeric and ginger, making it again tonight and have been a bit more conservative with the spices.

  • Sorry, I should have

    Submitted by chatarinad on 8. April 2011 - 21:46.

Sorry, I should have specified that it was dried lentils.. Also, I have modified the soup to contain less water as the batch I made tonight was too runny.

  • Red lentils are dried

    Submitted by Belinda V on 30. March 2011 - 12:10.

Red lentils are dried lentils, usually found in the soup aisle of the supermarket. They dissolve rather than remain whole. Consequently, red lentlis are also used to thicken the soup.
