  • 185 g Butter
  • 108 g brown sugar
  • 110 g Espresso coffee
  • 2 eggs
  • 135 g sour cream
  • 225 g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 top n fill caramel, 1/2 cup

Recipe's preparation

    Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 180c/160c fan forced. Grease and line base and sides of a 21cmx10cm (base measuresment) loaf ban with baking paper.
  2. Place butter and sugar in bowl and melt for 4 minutes 50 deg speed 4.
  3. Add coffee and mix for 10 seconds on speed 4. Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula.
  4. Add eggs, sour cream and flour and mix for 20 seconds on speed 4. Scrape down sides of bowl and mix again for 20 seconds on speed 4.
  5. Pour half of mixture into pan. Spread caramel over layer. Top remaining cake batter over caramel layer.
  6. Bake for 55 minutes or until a skewer inserted at centre comes out clean. Stand in cake pan for 5 minutes before turning out top side up., onto wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Cut into slices and serve.
