      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add water, brown sugar and oil to Thermomix bowl. Mix 2 minutes, 100 F sp. 2. Pour into a small container to reserve for later (no need to clean the Thermomix bowl!)
  2. Add water, yeast, salt, and brown sugar to Thermomix bowl. Mix 2 minutes, 100 F sp. 2
  3. Add white flour, knead for 2 minutes Allow to rise in Thermomix bowl until frothy and about doubled in bulk, about 1 hour
  4. Add reserved mixture of water, oil, and brown sugar to Thermomix bowl. (I used butter, and by the time it was time to add, the butter had hardened slightly, so I microwaved it for about 5 seconds). Mix for 3-5 seconds, speed 5
  5. Add whole wheat flour. Knead, for 3 minutes.
  6. Pour dough out onto a floured board or mat. Flour your hands, form dough into a ball, and place into a greased bowl. Turn over to grease surface. Cover with plastic wrap, and let rise until double.
  7. Have ready a well-greased loaf pan. When dough has doubled, form dough ball into a loaf and place into loaf pan. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until almost double.
  8. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
